Hi!! I won’t prattle on – because I’ve been doing it TONS elsewhere! So, instead, here’s a round up of places I’ve talked and what else you might find there…
Cover for GENERATION HOPE #15 -------------by Jorge Molina----------- in stores January 2012
All things X-MEN (including bits about Generation Hope) in the near future:
I hang out with comedians and creators as we shoot the comic book $#!+:
Comic Book Club Live! in NYC. Other guests are Jason Hurley & Jeremy Haun, creators of THE BEAUTY (Top Cow Pilot Season). It’s a GREAT, ORIGINAL crime story! (You should buy it.)
More chats will roll in VERY SOON. (And those will have a bit more CAPTAIN AMERICA & BUCKY discussion.)
Thanks to everyone who came up and chatted at NYCC or those who have hit me up on TWITTER! I genuinely love to hear from you guys.
ASTONISHING X-MEN #43comes out WEDNESDAY (10/26!!)! It’s a self-contained done-in-one story that I really, really like. Preview pages below. You should buy it from your LOCAL COMIC SHOP!
I think I mentioned this elsewhere, but it’s true – I got dizzy when editor Lauren Stankovich offered me the gig (seemingly out of nowhere). The only other time I felt a confusion-wave like that was when I was asked if my sketch comedy trio (Hey You Millionaires) wanted to play Whirllyball against members of Kids In the Hall.

I had an absolute blast writing for Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) in his cross over with the X-Men (Escape From the Negative Zone). But it’s a distinct honor to get to work on his ongoing title. Especially considering the AMAZING (and Eisner Award-winning) work Ed Brubaker has done with the character over the last few years. Seriously, if you like smart comics at allyou should read his run from the beginning. Ed has been an incredibly insightful and generous guy. So I hope I don’t screw up his work!
Luckily, all my words will be getting improved by the golden touch of Francesco Francavilla! He’s been quickly gaining an excellent reputation as a result of his work penciling, inking, and coloring (most recently) Black Pantherand Detective Comics.
I’m so happy to finally be able to talk about these two big developments! And I’ve got a few interviews coming up soon. So I’ll save the further gushing & details for those. In the meantime, find your Local Comic Shop and ask them to order you copies of Captain America & Bucky (starting with #625) and Generation Hope (starting with #13)!

I am THRILLED to finally be able to say that I am taking over the monthly writing joys for Marvel Comics’ young X-Men title, GENERATION HOPE starting this November with issue #13!!
I’ll be taking over from Kieron Gillen – who is a fantastic scribe and gentleman. You can still read his monthly magic over in UNCANNY X-MEN, JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY and a bunch of other gems. I have legitimately been a fan of this book since it debuted last year. And I’ve been having a blast continuing their paths – and mixing in a bit my own madness as well.
Art will be provided by a master of form – Ibraim Roberson (who did the Steve Rogers annual I wrote earlier this year)! …and yes, that IS Sebastian Shaw on the team
